The Monster Within The Madness

He sleeps inside

Biding his time.

He waits for the doctor to take a drink,

And for anger’s rising tide.  

He waits to commit his horrible crime,
 
His mind seeming to be missing a link.
 
With a twisted smile on his face

And poison eyes filled with rage.
 
He stalks in the night

And then vanishes without a trace.  

As he waits he hammers at his cage

It’s a terrifying sight.

He revels in the dark madness

Of a common-looking man.

All the time waiting, waiting  

Until the time is just right.
